Standard spindle gouges these are detailing tools used on between-centre work, where the grain is running parrallel to the bed bars. They are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on goblets vases and egg cups as well as other projects.
Fingernail Profile spindle gouges are ideal for fine detailing work, the wing tips are ground back reducing the danger of them catching when working in confined areas.
High Performance these are standard spindle gouges with a titainium nitride coating giving increased edge life to the tools they are sharpened as any normal tool.
Long & Strong apart from the length of the blade, the tools are identical to the standard strength gouges. The increased blade length allows furthur reach into the work piece.
Continental Style Originating from Europe, these tools have gained a reputation fro superb handling qualities on spindle work. they are of forged construction. they have even wall thickness thereby increasing the finesse without compromising strength.
